Personal medicine and pain treatment.

The objective of the ABILITY-2 study is to help improve pain diagnostics and – treatment. This is done by developing an implementable clinical computerised decision support system based on individual patient characteristics and to identify biomarkers including gene variations (PMP-test) that can be used to individualize treatment i.e. to reliably predict the analgesic response in the individual patient.

Current status: The study will be initiated November 2018 and will be carried out at Aleris-Hamlet Hospital in Ringsted Denmark, in collaboration with Mech-Sense, Aalborg University Hospital and Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, University of Copenhagen.
