Personal medicine in Canada – part II

In this part II implementation of pharmacogenomics in the clinical setting is investigated. While several clinical trials have demonstrated the clinical validity and utility of treatment guided by PGx, implementation of PGx tools in health care appears to lag behind. The primary aim of the present study is to offer clinicians at Responsive Health Management facilities the opportunity to use PGx information to support their medical decision-making. The measures taken in this study will pertain to the experience of the clinicians with this new tool as a support to medical decision-making, i.e. the clinician-perceived ease of use and usefulness of PGx.
